They're Finally Here! Le Byou P's U.S. Foals!

KWPN Approved

Dressage and Jumping Talent

Exceptional Pedigrees

Superior Conformation and Movement

Pictured left is Talisman, Byou's first colt to arrive at Foal's Paradise, at 1 week of age (after having arrived 3 weeks early), and below as a yearling. Tally is typical of Le Byou's offspring: big, uphill build, very leggy, refined head, lovely free movement.  He shows the same qualities with which the KWPN in Holland found Le Byou P stamps his babies. See the KWPN reports, below.

KWPN 100 Day Test and Foal Reports on Le Byou P

Le Byou was fully approved by the KWPN  in Holland in 1996. The KWPN reported:

"Le Byou is an honest, reliable, steady stallion.  He is very willing to work.  The basic gaits are big enough and powerful.  The horse is graceful  when walking . . .  In dressage the stallion works well and is a pleasure to ride."

In 1999, the KWPN evaluated Le Byou's offspring and
submitted a glowing report on his offspring, the best of his year:

"The foals by Le Byou P formed a uniform collection. They were well developed, of the rectangular model and show refinement.

The head was expressive.  The poll had good length. The neck had more than adequate length and good shape with a clear rounding through the topline. The wither had adequate height . . . .  The shoulder had adequate length and placement.  The back-loins connection had good shape and adequate muscling.  The croup was well shaped . . . .  The hindquarter had adequate muscling.  The foreleg had good length . . . .

The foals walked with a nice big stride and suppleness. They had rhythm and suppleness in the trot.  The foreleg was used well. The hindleg lifted well   . . . .  The foals cantered nice and big with good neck placement . . . . "

The report of Le Byou's foals in Holland was especially striking, considering that the KWPN reported that "the quality of the mothers varied from mediocre to adequate."

Our 2001 Le Byou P foals are making their marks in the showrings too. Here are some of their recent results:

Ukon

Ukon is a 2001 main foalbook KWPN gelding by approved imported KWPN stallion Le Byou P (Damiro x Apple King xx) out of the imported KWPN mare Perlinda (Don Primaire x Le Mexico). He has his mother's lighter and elegant type and probably will mature around 16 hands. He is a joy to work with.
